Message Some shops give NO warranty what so ever on motors or even aftermarket parts for that matter.

Then you have Dealerships that warranty a motor if it is making a weird noise just because they don't want to diagnose the problem. I have gotten some of my best core motors from the parts managers at dealerships :-).

Then you have shops that offer a warranty and never honor it.

So it just depends on the shop I guess.

I did a little over 60 motors last year and I have only had 2 come back. One was a VQ35 which was a mistake in communication(he had a Revup motor and I built and sent him a regular VQ) but it did not have any mechanical issues and I have a VG30 right now that has a strange noise but all his rod bearing looked perfect that we are looking at currently. So knock on wood...I think my % is damn good at the current time.

Oh and I had one that was damaged in shipping that I paid return shipping, promptly fixed and sent back to the customer even though I still have not been paid by the insurance company.
